Citizens Choice for Governor of Georgia

Fellow Georgia Citizens,

By now most of you are already aware that I am currently running for Georgia governor in the Republican primary.

There will be only two names on the ballot in the Republican primary on 18 July:  Sonny Perdue, the incumbent, and Ray McBerry.

The Perdue campaign and the GOP state leadership laughed a couple months ago when we announced my candidacy and that we would be starting with the same grassroots campaign organisation that put Perdue into office four years ago.  Two weeks later our campaign website was already the # 1 campaign website in the state of Georgia.  They are not laughing anymore.

The GaGOP has refused to even list me as a candidate on the state GOP website; and they are doing something unprecedented in Georgia politics... they are using state GOP funds for Perdue's commercials BEFORE the primary election.  They have no choice... "their" grassroots campaign organisation of four years ago is out campaigning every day for us.

Our first order of campaign materials was for 11,000 signs and 50,000 pieces of literature.  Within two weeks, it was all but exhausted; and requests were still coming in from around the state.  We have placed a second order.

We have broken the media blackout, which was largely a product of the media not "knowing" we were running, thanks to the GOP state leadership.  We've had dozens of radio interviews, with EVERY ONE carrying us longer than the pre-arranged time.  We more lined up already, along with two television appearances.  A growing number of local newspapers around the state have written very positive articles about us.  Everywhere that we have spoken or been carried in the media, there is a resounding applause from the people of Georgia for our platform.

We have endorsements from Michael Hill, League of the South president; Jack Bridwell, SCV Division Commander; Southern Heritage Political Action Committee; Constitution Party of Georgia; Southern Party of Georgia; Michael Peroutka, presidential candidate in 2004; Henri Klingler, former Libertarian gubernatorial candidate; Dewey Barber of Dixie Outfitters; and others. 

Sonny Perdue has managed to amass a huge number of special interest groups who detest him... heritage groups, educators, gun owners, homosexuals.

The Perdue campaign and the GOP leadership is counting on 1) most people not knowing that he has any opposition in the Republican primary,  2) those who DO vote, supporting him over us, and   3) the sun, moon, and earth lining up in a perfect line. 

Actually, the truth is that there is ONE  thing that will determine whether we defeat Perdue in the upcoming Republican primary... will we be able to let enough voters know that we are running before 18 July.  That's it... that's the only thing standing in the way of the first States' Rights governor in at least a generation.

If everyone receiving this message contributed $20.00 to buy radio time, we would dramatically increase the likelihood of a victory.  Some cannot give $20, but some can give more.  Do not give money needed for your family or your tithes/offerings. 

I have personally given more money, time, and effort to stand up for the Principles on which our platform is based over the past ten years than I can count.  I have never asked for anything personally, and I do not now.  I do, however, ask you to join me in an investment for liberty.
