Who Dun it?
"Flaggers and Southern Heritage groups are a legend in their own
minds," according to some pundits and politicos. Are the politicos
right or just whistling past the graveyard? *
This election year will help to tell. If Georgians will continue to
fight, corrupt promise breakers will continue to retire.
However, one believer in the power of the Southern Heritage in the
new millennium is no less than former Governor Roy E. Barnes. Barnes
has published a charming little brochure about the Barnes Law Group. The
Barnes Law Group is Roy's new law firm and is composed of his daughter
and son-in-law as well as the repudiated Governor.
What was Roy's take on the elections?
"He [that's Roy] was defeated for reelection in large part because of
his efforts to change the Georgia flag, a decision for which he was
honored with the 2003 John F. Kennedy Library Foundation Profiles in
Courage Award."
But what would Roy know?
* A quote from non other than - Republican Representative Glenn Richardson
