The anti-Heritage Senators

On April 22, HB-380 giving the People of Georgia a Vote on the State Flag came in front of the Senate. There were a series of amendments submitted. One amendment is very revealing, Amendment 15. This was an amendment to deny the People of Georgia the right to vote on Our State Flag.

 The Stealth TurnCoats

This vote resulted in a 28 - 28 tie, which means that the amendment failed. Now comes an interesting vote. A motion to Reconsider was made. This basically is a parliamentary motion to see if the amendment gets a second try. Voting for this motion is thus an anti-Heritage vote. Some additional Senators voted for this second chance. The following are the senators who voted "Yes" on V0474 and voted "No" on V0473.

Y D-Blitch, 7th
Y D-Dean, 31st
Y   D-Gillis, 20th
Y D-Jackson, 50th
Y D-Kemp, 3rd

The only way to describe such a vote is to classify these Senators as stealth TurnCoats who were working behind the scenes to deny the People the right to Vote, but who wanted to say that they voted with us. Why else would they vote to give the Amendment another shot when it had already failed?

The Wheeler and Dealers

After the bill was returned to the House the bill was changed, the People were denied the right to vote on our Flag. This was a result of considerable wheeling and dealing around the tobacco tax in exchange for removing the people's right to vote. The following Senators changed their vote from the Amendment 15 position to support a deal with the Atlanta Chamber, politically correct and Black Caucus.

Senators voting "Yes" on V0608 that voted "No" on V0473 - Note that Gillis was also identified as a Stealth TurnCoat above.

Y D-Gillis, 20th
Y R-Hill, 4th
Y D-Hooks, 14th
Y R-Johnson, 1st
Y R-Moody, 27th
