THEREFORE THE RALLY AT THE CAPITOL IS PLANNED FOR THURSDAY, APRIL 1st. 

It is now confirmed that the Gold Parking Lot at (Braves) Turner Field will be our parking and assembly area.  Please assemble there between 10:00 am and 10:45 am.  The march begins promptly at 11:00 am.

 EVERYONE START MAKING ARRANGEMENTS.  THIS DATE IS FIRM.  THE ROTUNDA IS AVAILABLE SO WE WILL BE INSIDE WITH THE REPORTERS AND THE LEGISLATORS.   
 
BRING YOUR FAMILIES, RELATIVES, FRIENDS AND ALL HERITAGE SUPPORTERS YOU CAN FIND.  ALSO, BRING REAL GEORGIA FLAGS.

We all know our honorable Southern heritage is under constant attack. If we are to preserve the good name of our ancestors of the 19th century and their leaders, WE SOUTHERNERS MUST ACT NOW!!!

 

On the 3rd of March a PRESS CONFERENCE called by several Southern Heritage organizations at the capitol in Atlanta. The purpose was to express the disappointment of Georgians and the Southern Heritage Community with the "so-called referendum" held on the preceding day.

 

Today, the Press continues to refer to our PRESS CONFERENCE as a "Flag Rally", and has continued to state the number of 40-50 as all that the '56 Flag supporters could muster. Remember this wasn't a flag rally but a PRESS CONFERENCE, but the continued impression the press is pushing is that the heritage community somehow has lost it's punch.

 

We, those of us active in the fight for a "fair" flag vote, know that this simply isn't true. We believe that it is imperative that we make a BIG showing before this legislature adjourns.

 

We would like for as many as possible to make the effort and come to our state capitol in Atlanta for a REAL FLAG RALLY and show your support for the flag that was stolen from us.

 

This MUST be done while the legislature is still in session and all the legislators are still at the capitol. All the print and TV media will cover this rally and the people of Georgia will see that the fight for fairness is alive and well.

 

This needs to be a gathering of hundreds, to show our legislators and senators that we are still serious about our heritage and that they will be held accountable for their removing the "peoples choice" flag from their bogus referendum.

 

The legislature is only in session on week days (work days). This important event MUST be held when our representatives will be there to see it. We realize that some will have to miss a day of work to attend. IT IS THAT IMPORTANT!

 

The date and time is now SET IN STONE!  Thursday, April 1st at 11:00 A.M. our march to the capitol will begin.  Assemble at the Gold parking lot in Turn Field by 10:30 AM. Our legislators and the media will be there.  WE HOPE YOU WILL TOO!!

 

If this battle is to be won, we need YOU to take the stand with us!  I will post our rally point and parking arrangements soon.
